In The Politics of Gay Marriage in Latin America. Argentina, Chile and Mexico, Jordi Dez takes the disparity of results obtained by homosexual movements for the struggle of legal acceptance of "gay marriage" in Argentina, Chile and Mexico, as a starting point, to present a theory-based on the result of the interviews and sampling conducted in those countries-which proposes that social movements, such as the struggle for the legalization of homosexual marriage, are legitimized and even supported by legal bodies when they have sufficient strength and support. For example, in the case of gay and lesbian manifestations, the supportive role on social networks is surprising.
